The Traditional Hot Air Balloon Flight is the classic sunrise ceremony over Teotihuacan: welcome coffee, 45 to 60 minutes in the air, a traditional sparkling-wine toast and a flight certificate, for MX$2,300 per person.
We had our first hot air balloon experience this morning and it was a true once in a lifetime experience. I was nervous leading up to our experience but the entire organization was top notch and professional. Our pilot Antonio was terrific! He was fun, professional and made the experience even that much better. If visiting the Mexico City area I couldn’t recommend this company and experience any more!
A great way to start your morning!! View was great, Antonio, the pilot, was amazing. He has 14 years of experience and he showed his skill to us and safely flew and landed the balloon. We had a toast after as well to celebrate and it was apparently a tradition having a toast after flying! If you are afraid of heights, give it a shot still. It was worth it and super safe. Kudos to the other staffs as well they are very friendly and accommodating.
The Traditional flight keeps every ritual of ballooning. You watch the envelopes fill with air at dawn, you join the English safety briefing and you lift off with the first light over the valley.
The pilot flies 45 to 60 minutes over the archaeological zone. From the basket you see the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Avenue of the Dead exactly as the city planners of Teotihuacan laid them out.
On landing the crew pours the traditional sparkling-wine toast and hands you a flight certificate. This ticket does not include breakfast; choose the cave breakfast package if you want a meal.
